Birdsong is beautiful, a delight to hear. But how and why is it produced? What does birdsong mean? I address these questions with lots of pictures, sound and video clips. We'll see how songs can be visualised in intricate pictures, discover how songs are recorded in the field, see how birds can make such amazing sounds, and learn why being bird brained is actually a compliment.
